His late son, Oliver "Wayne" Sadberry, Jr., built his dream into a movement to honor his father, growing into a valuable public service, recognized by G.H.W. Bush School of Government & Public Service at Texas A&M University.

This project included extensive family research, oral history, photographic exhibition. In 2016, honored by the California Senate for editorial project management of Cultural Heritage Programs. In 2016, presented the American Business Women's Association Shine Award for Cultural Journalism.
